​Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly are an Emmy Award-winning songwriting and composing partnership from Glasgow, Scotland, working across musical theatre, film and television. Independently, both have established careers as acclaimed singer-songwriters and musicians; together, they combine a deep understanding of songcraft with contemporary production, orchestral writing and cinematic scoring.
 

Their first major collaboration was the original musical Anna and the Apocalypse, for which they wrote the songs and score. The film was the first acquisition for MGM’s newly reinstated Orion Pictures and was released worldwide in 2018. They subsequently wrote songs and music for Steven Spielberg’s Animaniacs (Warner Bros/Hulu), winning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song for “Suffragette City”.
 

Their theatre work includes Orphans, a musical adaptation of Peter Mullan’s cult Scottish film, which premiered with the National Theatre of Scotland in 2022 to rave reviews. The production marked their first original stage musical and brought together their strengths in character-driven songwriting, dramatic storytelling and richly textured contemporary music.

Alongside their theatre work, recent screen projects include the BBC thriller Nightsleeper, (for which Reilly composed the original score with additional production and music from Hart); Coldwater (ITV/Showtime); Dinosaur (BBC/Hulu); Grow (Sky Cinema), (for which Reilly composed the original score with additional production and music from Hart); From Roger Moore With Love (BBC); and Glenrothan, Brian Cox’s feature directorial debut.
 

Their wider credits include Michael Caton-Jones’ Our Ladies, the Amazon series The Wheel of Time, and a range of original film, television and stage projects.
